The National Institute for Quantum Psionics (NIQP) has ceased all operations beginning February 4, 2025, pursuant to a directive issued by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) eliminating departmental funding previously authorized under under Section 402 of the National Quantum Initiative Act (15 U.S.C. 8801 et seq.) and Section 10104(b) of the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 (Public Law 117-167). All Institute programs, grants, and contracts have been terminated, and remaining obligated funds are subject to review and recovery. Institute web properties have been decommissioned. A limited number of personnel have been retained at the minimum level required by law to complete grant closeout, records disposition, and response to congressional and public inquiries as needed. No further public updates will be issued.

I have figured out how to post here from a terminal in the basement of our office [An old departmental/internal API is still open, god bless DOGE for an inadequate culling I guess o_O ]... but there doesn't seem to be a protocol to delete old posts. So my Thanksgiving exuberance courtesy of a few too many g&ts will now stay logged until this final vestige of NIQP collapses into the same black hole as the rest of our work.
